The 14th Amman International Book Fair opened here on Wednesday with more than 250,000 of books on display from hundreds of publishing houses in Arab and foreign countries covering a wide variety of subjects. Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Prime Minister Fayez Tarawneh inaugurated the fair, which is held under the slogan “Arabic Culture Spring”. The premier toured the fair’s stances and hailed the efforts of organizers. The event is organized by the Jordanian Publishers Union (JPU), in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the Greater Amman Municpilaity (GAM). The fair will include hosting various cultural activities.
