Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damati said Tuesday that his ministry will spare no efforts to protect Egypt's artifacts.
Damati made the remarks after two secretaries at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization were arrested for attempting to replace artifacts at Fustat warehouse with fake ones.
He lauded as "important" the role played by the antiquities police to end the phenomena of robbing antiquities.
