The Antiquities Ministry is currently preparing three files concerning important archaeological sites including ancient Alexandria city, Ptolemaic temples and Pharaoh and el Gondy islands in prelude to be listed on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
In statements on Thursday, Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damaty said this comes within the ministry's keenness to list the largest possible number of Egyptian antiquities on world heritage lists.
A permanent committee for antiquities was formed in Alexandria to prepare a study on the city, the minister said, adding that this comes in cooperation with Antiquities Ministry, Alexandria Governorate and Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
