Awqaf withdraws preacher's license for insulting police, army

The Awqaf Ministry said that it would withdraw the interim preaching license from cleric Maged Abdel Salam after he insulted police and army forces.
Abdel Salam, a professor at Azhar University, violated the ministry's instructions regarding delivering sermons at mosques, said Mohamed Abdel Razeq, first undersecretary of the Awqaf Ministry.
He noted that Azhar professor mixed religion with politics during his recent sermons.
