Azhar denounces recent Adhamiya incidents in Iraq

Al Azhar condemned on Saturday the tension that occurred in Adhamiya district in northern Baghdad which was triggered by torching a Sunni building on Thursday.
In a press release, Azhar asserted that those who plot to stir sectarian clashes among Iraqis are behind such incidents, adding that they aim to threaten Iraq’s security and stability.
Azhar urged all Iraqis to exercise self-restraint and to work on achieving their country’s interests. The institution also urged the Iraqi government to bring the rioters to justice.
