Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa today attended in Dubai the launch of a project aimed at promoting the status of Arabic language. The Arab Thought Foundation is spearheading the initiative under the slogan “Lets’ Promote our Language”. Arab Thought Foundation President His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Arab ministers of culture, heads of Arabic language academies, leading cultural, academic and media figures attended the ceremony. Shaikha Mai underlined the importance of promoting Arabic language, emphasizing its unique aesthetic qualities and significance as a deep-rooted identity. She also underlined the necessity to bolster the role of Arabic language in international arenas, stressing the need to take advantage of the UNECSO World Arabic Language Day, which falls on December 18.
