The Fifth Regional Exhibition and Conference will open tomorrow, Monday, in Bahrain and will last until 26 September. Bahrain’s Minister of Labour, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Vocational Training, Jameel Bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan will inaugurate the event, the state news agency BNA said. The Conference and Exhibition are held in the framework of the efforts and joint keenness to confront several challenges facing the GCC countries in the field of work, including recruiting the Gulf citizens in jobs and integrate them in the work markets. Humaidan stated that the most important challenges facing the process of Bahranization of jobs were those associated with the education process and its outcomes, and also its impact on the requirements of Labor Affairs, where the integration of national human resources’ programmes were affected on the level of the region. Meanwhile, that impact was manifested particularly with the repercussions of the financial and global crises, which led to a decline in job opportunities coinciding with the continued increase in the number of university graduates in specializations not needed by the labor market. Therefore the conference will set forth to discuss those issues with transparency through a set of important worksheets presented by specialists in education, training and labor market, where they will shed light on the most important and advanced experiences in that area. They will also present new views and concepts, in addition to a number of workshops that aim at developing the human resources in both the public and private sectors. The conference will include an elite of specialists from Bahrain and GCC countries, and some Arab countries as well.
