Dr Ibrahim Negm
Cairo - MENA

Advisor to the mufti Dr Ibrahim Negm has announced that Darul Iftaa will adopt a call by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to renew the religious discourse in Egypt.
In press statements on Friday, Negm said the mufti directed workers at the Darul Iftaa to provide fatwa and Sharia services in a modern way.
Darul Iftaa will be upgraded in the coming period in order to achieve the highest degree of effective communication with all Muslims worldwide, Negm said.
A national project will be launched soon to rectify the image of Islam abroad via sending scholars touring the world to spread the moderate teachings of Islam, he added.
President Sisi called upon Al Azhar and Awqaf preachers to confront the misleading ideologies harming Islam and Muslims worldwide
During the Awqaf Ministry's celebrations of the birthday anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad on Thursday, Sisi stressed the importance of renewing the religious discourse.
