German Writer and Nobel Prize winner Günter Grass died at the age of 87 years in one of the hospitals of the northern German city of Lübeck.
The Steidl publishing house announced the news, according to Radio France International on Monday.
Grass won the Nobel Prize in 1999 and was known for his brave stance supporting the Palestinian people. He also slammed the caricature that insulted Prophet Mohamed (Peace be Upon Him) in 2006.
