Iran’s Cultural attaché to Indonesia said here Monday greatest Iran Arts and Culture Week would begin in Jakarta as of Wednesday in presence of IRI Culture and Islamic Minister. Ali-Mohammad Rabbani added in an interview with IRNA, “During the Iran Arts and Culture Week in Indonesia a number of artists and activists in Iranian artistic and cultural fields would attend the event and perform at its various sections, according to its announced schedule. He reiterated, “The opening ceremony of this culture week would be held on Wednesday, March 7th, in the presence of the Iranian and the Indonesian culture ministers,” adding that a four-year plan on the two countries’ cultural exchanges, too, would be signed during the event. The Iranian cultural attaché in Indonesia emphasized, “On the sidelines of this culture week the Iran-Indonesia Friendship Association, too, would be officially established, whose Indonesian head would be Indonesian President’s Consultant Minister Abdullah Tuha. Rabbani added that meeting with prominent Indonesian religious scholars and cultural figures would be in the schedule of the Iranian culture minister during his visit of Indonesia, adding, “Also, after the end of the Iran Art and Culture Week an International Seminar on Iranians Share in the Islamic Culture would be held at Sharif Hedayatollah University of Jakarta in the presence of the IRI Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister. The Iranian Cultural Attaché in Jakarta said, “The Iranian Night, too, would be held at the ASEAN Headquarters in the presence of the two countries’ culture ministers in Jakarta during the culture week.” He said that the Iranian Films Week is among the other events of the week, in which such full length features as Joseph the Prophet (P), Solomon’s Kingdom, and The Third Day would be screened for the enthusiasts. Rabbani added, “Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini would also have a meeting with the Iranians and members of the two countries’ parliamentary friendship groups, and also at a work session on cultural exchanges between Iran and Indonesia. He also referred to the Iranian culture minister’s scheduled meeting with the Indonesian culture and religious affairs minister, adding, “On the sidelines of this culture week an exhibition of Iranian arts and culture would be held till Monday, March 12th, featuring the presence of a large number of Iranian artists in various fields. The Iranian cultural attaché in Indonesia at the end referred to the holding of the Joint Cultural Commission of Iran and Indonesia as another side event of the Iran Arts and Culture Week in Indonesia.
