Iran is planning to hold the 29th edition of Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) screening productions from all over the world. This year’s event will be held in the Iranian capital of Tehran and some other provinces, said the deputy head of the Iranian Young Cinema Society, Hashem Mirzakhani. The films are required to have been completed after January 1, 2010 with maximum running time of 40 minutes in all genres. Organized by the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, the 29th Tehran International Short Film Festival will run from October 1 to 7, 2012. The Society produces around 1800 short films every year many of which have been screened in a number of international festivals, he added.
