\"Memories from Ukraine\" art gallery is the product of deep ties of friendship between Kuwait and Ukraine, Head of Kuwait\'s Fine Arts Society Abdulrasul Salman said on Wednesday.The gallery\'s opening ceremony was sponsored and inaugurated by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Kuwait Vladimir Tolqatch, late Tuesday.The photographs displayed in the exhibition were taken during a trip made by the Fine Arts Society members to Kiev, in February, to take part in a contemporary Kuwaiti Art Gallery, Salman said in his opening speech.The Kiev gallery was held on the request of Kuwaiti Ambassador to Ukraine Yousef Al-Qabandi to celebrate the anniversaries of Independence, Liberation, and His Highness the Amir of Kuwait\'s assumption of power. It also reflected on 15 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, he said.The gallery was held February 21-28 with participation of 16 Kuwaiti artists and with 144 art works on display.The event was received well by the Ukraine public and there was a meeting with Ukraine and Kuwaiti fine arts societies\' officials to organize exchange of visits and holding various galleries in both countries.
