Second meeting of Islamic World Publishers kicks off in Tehran

The second meeting of the Islamic World Publishers Kicked off here on Saturday in the presence of Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini. Holding five specialized meetings to be attended by Iranian and foreign publishers is among the main programs of the one-day event. Some 500 publishers from 40 Asian, European, African and South American countries were expected to take part in the cultural event. The objective behind the meeting is to promote guild interaction among Muslim publishers. Establishment of World Union of Muslim Publishers was agreed by the participants in the first meeting of the event. Its article of association has been drafted and will be ratified during the ongoing meeting.
