Pianist Wasim Kutob, Percussionist Simon Mraesh and Accordionist Wisam al-Sha'er performed Tango concert inspired from Argentinean Musician Astor Piazzolla at Damascus Opera House. The Syrian Musicians performed the musical pieces of "the Absence, the Return to the South, Aimless, Dreams, Tango of the Street, Milonga for Three" which were inspired from Piazzolla's works. They highlighted the special style of Piazzolla music which ensures freedom of performance and improvisation. Kutob has participated in a number of workshops with well-known musicians like Rahman Amiri, Kristopher Alton, Victor Ponin and others. He was chosen to play music with a number of orchestral bands. He is the Technical Director and Chairman of the International Competition of Sulhi al-Wadi for Young Talents Jury. Wisam al-Sha'er is the Solo Accordionist at Lebanese Singer Fairouz orchestral Band, while Simon Mraesh is a percussion teacher at several musical institutes among them Sulhi al-Wadi Institute for Music.
