UAE participates in sixth global forum of UN alliance of civilizations

The U.A.E. took part in the 6th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in Bali, Indonesia, on 29-30 August 2014.
Prime and foreign ministers of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Group of Friends community which was initiated by the UN IN 2005 were present.
Abdullah bin Mohamemd Saeed Ghobash, Minister of State, led the U.A.E. delegation to the event, which brought together many foreign ministers, political leaders, representatives of international and regional bodies, the private sector, civil society groups, youth, the arts, and the media as well as donor agencies and foundations, to vigorously foster cross-cultural dialogue and understanding.
Bearing the theme, "Unity in Diversity: Celebrating Diversity for Common and Shared Values", the Forum focused on strategic yet practical measures that generate and sustain common values and a shared sense of responsibility among all stakeholders, partners and constituencies toward the realization of the mandate and objectives of the Alliance.
