Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met Sunday with French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius at the presidential HQ in Ramallah.
Abbas appreciated the continued French efforts to push forward the peace process stalled due to Israeli's rejection to commit to its obligations, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al Maliki said at a joint press conference with Fabius.
Maliki said the Palestinian side backs the French ideas to kick start the peace process.
The French ideas aim to create a new mechanism for negotiations, while drawing lessons from the previous negotiating experiences, he said.
