Abbas receives British state minister for Middle East affairs

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday received in the Palestinian presidential headquarters British State Minister for Middle East Affairs Tobias Ellwood.
The Palestinian president briefed the British officials about the recent developments in the Palestinian territories and efforts at the United Nations to end the Israeli occupation and setting up the Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.
Abbas also underlined the importance of British support for the Palestinian efforts at the UN. He further highlighted the importance of British participation in a conference in the reconstruction of Gaza that will be hosted by Egypt on Sunday.
