Ramallah - Arab Today

The three Palestinian Arabic dailies highlighted on Thursday President Mahmoud Abbas’ expected meeting with his French counterpart Francois Hollande, set for April 15 to discuss the arrangements for an international peace conference.

Meanwhile, the dailies focused on Israel’s intention to boost tourism in illegal; West Bank settlements by funding them with 45 million shekels (about $12 million).

Al-Quds and Al-Ayyam said that extremist Temple Mount groups called upon their rivals for massive provocative visits to Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem.

Al-Quds reported that the newly formed investigation committee into the assassination of Omar Nayef, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, had arrived Sofia.

Al-Hayat Al-Jadida and al-Ayyam reported that a far-right Israeli Knesset MP called for separation between Arab and Jewish women in maternity wards in Israeli hospitals, in a new incitement case.

Al-Ayyam reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on his soldiers to “fight terrorism without any restrictions”.

Al-Ayyam also reported that Israel recently froze building plans for Palestinians in Area C in West Bank, under complete Israeli control.
