Jordan King Abdullah II discussed on Wednesday with Arab Parliament Speaker, Ahmad al Jarwan the latest developments in the region and counter- terrorism efforts, Jordan's Petra news agency reported.
The king congratulated al Jarwan on his re-election for a new term as the Arab Parliament Speaker, stressing the need to boost efforts to achieve peace between the Palestinians and Israelis, in order to reach an independent Palestinian state within a just and comprehensive solution, according to Petra.
The King and al Jarwan also discussed the current situation in Syria, Iraq and Libya.
