Lebanese Maronite patriarch meets Egypt's ambassador in Beirut

Lebanon's Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros al Rai met here on Wednesday with Egypt's Ambassador to Lebanon Mohamed Badr el Din.
In a statement to MENA, the Egyptian diplomat said the meeting touched on the expected visit by the Maronite Patriarch to Egypt and its preparations.
Also, they discussed the current initiative proposed by various Lebanese political powers to end the presidential vacuum in Lebanon.
During the gathering, Badr el Din asserted that Egypt supports all efforts aimed at ending the presidential vacuum and avoiding the country the regional polarization and external pressures.
