President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has met Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi.
The meeting dwelt on coordination and consultations between the two sides, said spokesman at the presidency Ihab Badawi.
Among the issues in the discussion were the regional updates and bilateral ties, he added.
Alawi expressed his country's interest in investing in the new Suez Canal project, noting Omani businessmen would take part in Egypt's Friends Conference in November.
