
Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to China on Saturday at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced Monday.
The two leaders are set to discuss the further development of Russian-Chinese relations and cooperation within trade, economy, investments, science and the humanitarian field.
Key international issues will also be on the two leaders' agenda, as well as "cooperation in the framework of multilateral and regional organizations, first and foremost the UN, BRICS, G20," the press service said.
Putin and Xi will also discuss the implementation of deals recently agreed within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
During Putin’s visit, the sides are also set to sign a deal on the supply of Russian wheat to China, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin told reporters.
