GCC Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee to Meet Tomorrow

The 29th meeting of the GCC Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee will be held at the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh on Thursday.

    GCC Assistant Secretary General for Economic and Development Affairs Abdullah bin Juma Al Shibli said that topics on the agenda will cover a number of issues relating to the work of technical committees and working groups in the field of electricity and water, the comprehensive strategic long-term project for water in the GCC countries, the water link project among the GCC countries, and the establishment of an independent regional regulatory authority for electricity link.

    The ministers will also review a report on the functioning of the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority, and the GCC campaign for rationalization of electricity and water, and other important topics related to the electrical and water cooperation.
