Sunday marks 1st day of Islamic month of Shaaban

Darul-Iftaa announced that Sunday will mark the first day of Shaaban, the eighth month of Islamic Hijri year.
In a statement on Friday, Darul-Iftaa said that its committees did not spot the crescent that marks the end of Rajab and start of Shaaban.
Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawky Allam greeted President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Egyptian and Islamic peoples on the occasion.
