A German economic delegation will pay a visit to Egypt from September 13 to September 17 to explore new investment opportunities to expand trade exchange and increase German investments in Egypt, said Egypt Ambassador to Germany Mohamed Hegazy.
Head of the industry chamber in the German Parliament Peter Ramsauer, who is also president of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will lead a high-level delegation to visit Egypt, said the ambassador.
The delegation will group 35 representatives of 28 German companies and funding institutions, he added.
The German delegation's visit to Egypt shows the success of a visit paid by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Germany from June 2 to June 4, he said.
The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Germany hit about 4.4 billion euros, including 1.52 billion euros for Egypt's exports and 2.87 euros for Egypt's imports, said the ambassador.
There are also 935 German companies which are operating in Egypt at total investments reaching about 3 billion euros.
