Uma Thurman auctions 'Pulp Fiction' private screening

Uma Thurman is auctioning off a private screening of Pulp Fiction.
The 44-year-old actress starred as Mia Wallace in the 1994 movie, and will screen the film at an event to benefit charity. The auction winner and 55 friends will celebrate the feature's 20th anniversary with the star, and enjoy cocktails and a Q&A session after the screening.
Thurman came up with the idea after she attended a special screening of Pulp Fiction with director Quentin Tarantino and other cast members this year at Cannes.
"Seeing Pulp Fiction again after more than a decade, projected on the beach of Cannes to a captive audience, I was amazed and reminded of just how eternal the film really is," the actress shared in a statement.
All proceeds from the auction will go to charity Room to Grow. The organization aims to enrich the first three years of babies born into impoverished families, and Thurman has been involved with the group since 1998.
"I am so happy to share the film again, in a personal way, and to see the film do some real good for babies in need," she said.
Fans can bid on the Charity Buzz website now through July 23. The bid is currently at $8,500, and the event takes place at the NeueHouse in New York on September 14.
