With less than two months to go for the Dubai Tram to open, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) workers are on overdrive to finish the work in time.

To be served by 11 trains, each with five carriages divided into Gold, Silver and Family, the Dubai Tram is expected to serve 27,000 riders per day.

The trams will operate every six minutes from 5.30am to midnight daily, with each train carrying a maximum of 405 passengers.
Operating at a maximum speed of 50km/h, the tram will take 42 minutes for trip from Dubai Marina to Al Sufouh.
