Emirates is launching flights to a fifth destination in Pakistan – Sialkot, in the province of Punjab. Commencing on 5 November 2013, the new service will operate four times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays) using a wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft with 54 seats in business class and 183 in economy. “Pakistan was the first country on our route network when we launched services to Karachi in 1985,” said Barry Brown, Emirates’ divisional senior vice president of commercial operations. “With the addition of this fifth destination the airline will operate 63 flights a week between Dubai and Pakistan.” Sialkot International Airport, which opened in 2007, boasts the longest runway in Pakistan. It will join Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar in Emirates Pakistani network. Flights will depart Dubai at 0415 and arrive in Sialkot at 0820. The return flight will leave Sialkot at 0945, arriving back into Dubai at 1235. Source: Travel Daily
