Lufthansa raises Abu Dhabi route capacity

Airports Company (Adac) and Lufthansa German Airlines announced yesterday the increase of flight capacity between Frankfurt and Abu Dhabi International Airport starting by the end of October. Lufthansa flights on Abu Dhabi sector will no longer continue onwards to Muscat, giving full capacity of the aircraft to Abu Dhabi-Frankfurt passengers, the airline announced in an emailed statement. This is Lufthansa\'s second upgrade within 12 months after introducing a daily service on the route last October, up from six weekly flights. The Lufthansa flights will be operated with an Airbus A330-300 aircraft with non-stop flights to Frankfurt, departing from Abu Dhabi daily at 1:15am local time. Article continues below Increased capacity Traffic growth on the Germany-Abu Dhabi route prompted the upgrade.
