The Civil Aviation Ministry said Saturday a probe has been opened into a complaint by a Nigerian passenger who reported he was mistreated by an Egyptian airline during his flight from Abuja to Ukraine via Cairo.
"An urgent investigation was launched to verify the incident, and if it reveals any negligence the perpetrators will be punished," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry added it would not allow the mistreatment of the Egyptian airlines' clients, especially those from African countries.
It stressed its keenness to expand the airlines network with the African nations to promote political, trade and social relations with them.
