Security measures tightened at Cairo airport

Cairo airport security director Major General Fahmy Megahed said the Ministry of Interior has issued directives to step up security measures at Cairo airport during the coming period to deal with the technological development in the crime and terror domains.
In a press conference Tuesday, he said cooperation is underway with various security agencies in the field of security information.
The measure urging passengers to take off shoes will help achieve security for them, he said, adding that the measure is being implemented in many international airports.
