
The first flight of "Air Cairo" landed at Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport coming from the Georgian capital Tbilisi on Sunday with 97 passengers aboard, said Civil Aviation Minister Hossam Kamal.
In statements Sunday, the minister said his ministry is keen on encouraging Egyptian airlines to operate flights to tourists sites in the interest of the country's national goals.
On his part, "Air Cairo" chairman Yasser el-Ramly said the company operates now two flights a week from Tbilisi to Sharm el-Sheikh, pointing out the number will to rise the three in January.
