Damascus - Noura Khowam

A man was killed and other people were injured as a result of bombing last night by warplanes whose identity wasn’t known whether they were Russian or related to the International Coalition, on areas in Al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, while violent clashes are continuing between the “Islamic State” organization on one hand, and the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities on the other hand.
The clashes are accompanied by hearing the sound of a violent explosion in the area, caused by exploding a booby trapped vehicle by the organization near a position of the regime forces in the east of the Euphrates River, while warplanes whose identity wasn’t known if they were related to the International Coalition bombed by several strikes areas in Al-Bokamal in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, also areas in the towns of Al-Shahail, Muhasan and Al-Boleel and the villages of Al-Zabary and Al-Toob, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, were bombed yesterday after the midnight, which resulted in the death of a citizen woman and a female child in Al-Shahail town and the injury of others including two children.

In the same context, Russian has announced that it will support the Syrian army forces against the Islamic State in Deir Ezzor, Qasioun News reported on Sunday. Russia announced that it will provided the needed aerial support, through its Hameimim Air Base in Syria, for the regime forces to fight the Islamic State militants, east of Deir Ezzor, while official sources revealed that Syrian army forces recaptured the area of Marat al-Fawqa and parts of Hattla Tahtani Village.
Meanwhile, Islamic State-held media outlets stated that the militant group has killed more than eighty soldiers of the Syrian army and allied militias in the outskirts of the city of Mayadin. It is noteworthy that the regime forces recaptured large areas from the Islamic State group, east of Deir Ezzor, backed by Russian air strikes.
On the other hand, the opposition’s Rahman Legion managed, on Sunday, to foil a Syrian army offensive on the town of Ayn Tarma, in Rif Dimashq, Qasioun News reported. Rahman Legion (Faylaq al-Rahman) has announced in an official statement that its troops managed to kill several soldiers belonging to the army’s 4th brigade, in the outskirts of Ayn Tarma Town during the ongoing clashes between the two sides.
Meanwhile, Syrian army troops shelled the cities of Eastern Ghouta area with artillery and missiles, while bombed the city of Ayn Tarma with ground-to-ground missiles (GGM), in addition to carrying out dozens of artillery shelling, causing significant damage to the area. It is noteworthy that Syrian army forces and allied militias are planning to enter the area of Eastern Ghouta, despite the de-escalation zones agreement that include the area.
