Egypt retrieves 2 historical artefacts from Israel

Historical artefact back to the early \"Modern Era\" Cairo – Akram Ali The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities has declared it successfully retrieved two wooden historical artefacts taken from two Egyptian sarcophaguses traced back to the early “Modern Era”. The artefacts were found in a bazaar in occupied Jerusalem.
The ministry stated that a team from the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities and Egyptian Foreign Ministry worked with the Egyptian embassy in Tel Aviv  conducted diplomatic negotiations and exchanged letters with the Israeli side over the last year, where they eventually succeeded in proving that two stolen pieces which were illegally smuggled rightfully belonged to Egypt.
Israel told the Egyptian embassy that it was willing to return the pieces to Egypt while paying for their prices in the bazaar.
Osama Al-Nahhas, director general of the department of returned antiquities at the ministry said the artefacts were discovered during a routine inspection by Israeli authorities on the bazaars. Seeing that the two pieces were sawed from the middle, they became suspicious and questioned the bazaar owner on how they entered into Jerusalem. The owner had bought the pieces from a dealer in Dubai and transported them legally into Israel, according to Israeli rules through London after paying the required taxes, he explained.
