The Sharjah Economic Excellence Network “shjSEEN” has started a detailed evaluation process of several submissions, presented by participating firms in the various categories of the prestigious awards. This comes as the thorough process is set to run till 21st December.

The judging process is part of a month-long, in-depth examination, aimed at identifying the best-in-class practices across the Awards’ different categories. The feedback from the jury teams will play a crucial role in deciding which company is going to take an award home.

Nada Al Hajri, General Coordinator of shjSEEN, commented on the evaluation process: “The shjSEEN Awards are essential to our ever-lasting journey towards excellence. So far, the caliber of applicant companies is truly breath-taking. Each in their own unique way, nominees have truly harnessed creativity and innovation to develop their capability, and sustained results through innovative practices.”

“Central to the awards is recognizing these companies for employing cutting-edge techniques to increase their performance, and putting their distinguished know-hows at the disposal of – and benefit to – the communities they serve.” She added.

During this month, the judging panel and teams of assessors will evaluate submissions for the Sharjah Top Ten Award, Sharjah UAE Startups Award, theSharjah Entrepreneurs Award, the Sharjah Green Award, and the Sharjah CSR Award.

The Sharjah Award for top ten businesses witnessed vast participation from companies specialized in trade, retail, real estate, business services, tourism and hospitality, construction, financial services, transportation and logistics, and the sectors of education, health care, and e-services.

Reviewing process for the Sharjah UAE startups awards has been underway since Monday, as the judging panel continues to study several proposed presentations, with “innovation” and “measurable success” being the primary vehicles for propelling nominees into the next stage.

On December 17th, the judging panel will inspect presentations for the Sharjah Entrepreneurs Award. The accolade will be bestowed on one winner at the end of the assessment process, based on three key aspects; professionalism, leadership and tangible achievements.

Proposed nominations for “the Sharjah Green Award” are to be inspected on December 19th, as the judging panel will look for top-notch recycling, waste, and gas release minimization techniques, along with proven use of “green” suppliers or materials, as well as energy efficiency, and many other sustainability indicators.

Applicant companies for The Sharjah CSR Award will be evaluated on December 21st. Among the assessment criteria is: community engagement, charity work, volunteering, supportive work environment, and youth employment.

The “shjSEEN” Awards seek to honour the UAE’s best performing organizations; whether private, public or non-profit, recognizing industry leaders that prove a track record of accomplishments in transforming strategy into action, and continuously cultivate their organization’s performance.
