Crowds of food lovers and culinary enthusiasts flocked to Al Majaz Waterfront –Sharjah’s Premiere Leisure and Tourism Destination- to witness expert chefs from GCC countries cook up a variety of signature Gulf dishes. The professional creators of gourmet cuisine were on hand to share their exquisite kitchen practices and unique methods of cooking with the gathered visitors during “Celebrity chef live cooking demonstration”, which were held as part of the “Sharjah Food Festival”.

The first of the live cooking demonstrations was presented by Kuwaiti chef Sami Al Sherida, who used his time creating his gourmet offering to dish out awareness guidance for amateur cooks. Among the food preparation topics he touched on were how to select the right ingredients and how to maintain good hygiene standards during cooking. Chef Sami shared with the audience some secrets of Kuwaiti cuisine as he served up a delicious Gulf dish.

Next up in the Celebrity Chef live cooking demonstration programme was Omani chef Issa Allamki who began his kitchen mastery at the age of 14 years and is known for being the first chef to cook at the Four Seasons hotel in Saudi Arabia. Interacting with the audience during his show, Chef Issa took time to answer questions and provide expert tips on how to get the very best results in the kitchen.

Qatari chef Aisha Altamimi, best known for her cookery programme ‘Dining Table’ and author of a collection of cookbooks featuring world-class signature dishes, used her live demonstration to share her rich experience in the art of gourmet dish creation.
