Forte currently holds 10 uranium license approved by Mauritania’s cabinet
Nouakchott - Mohammad Abeidy Sharif

Forte currently holds 10 uranium license approved by Mauritania’s cabinet British company Forte Energy has announced it will begin uranium exploration in northern Mauritania’s A328 sector by the summer, following the launch of a new operation in the North African country in November. Forte announced in a quarterly report it would suspend exploration in other sectors close to the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott.
The Mauritanian cabinet first approved licenses for the British company to explore uranium mineralisation within its territories in October 2012.
The company hopes to achieve improvement in its revenues after it return to ASX sector; especially it managed to improve its financial position in 2012, as the company manages a number of uranium projects in Ghana and Mauritania.
Forte currently holds 10 uranium exploration licenses in Mauritania, in an area covering 9,925 square kilometres.
In December 2007 the British firm completed its first drilling operation – at the Bir En Nar prospect in the northern Zednes region.
