Versace Show Opens Paris Fashion Week

Versace Couture Glitter dominated Versace’s haute couture collection for spring/summer 2012, with models wearing sequined strapless column dresses, golden studs and bodices encrusted with crystals .
Chief designer Donatella Versace added shining gold details on dresses, giving a military allure contrasting with the more feminine off-the-shoulder courset-inspired pieces which were a main feature.
Versace\'s couture renaissance was marked with bursts of colour in yellow, green and red.
Backstage after her first couture show in eight years, Versace was twice asked why she had returned, and she gave two different answers. The first time, she said simply \"because I missed it.\" The second time, she said it was because in the aftermath of the hugely successful mini-collection by Versace for H&M, \"I didn\'t want people to forget that Versace is a haute couture house.\"
