Qandil wants to showcase Egyptian relics globally
Egyptian parliamentarian Eman Qandil has proposed showcasing Egyptian artefacts in international exhibitions, with Egypt still keeping the copyright claims to the objects.

for a two-day conference on Wednesday during a meeting of the Committee of Culture, Tourism and Media concerned with Egypt’s Shura Council.
She stressed the need to invite archaeological experts to discuss how to protect and benefit financially from the Egyptian relics, which she claims could become a main source of income for the country.

Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home.
