HE Chairman of Qatar's Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah who is also head of the Qatar-Japan Joint Higher Committee, on Thursday morning opened the ''Qatar Ferjaan Week in Tokyo'' , being organised by Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) . The opening ceremony was attended by Princess Takamado from the Japanese Imperial Palace, a number of Japan’s government senior officials and QMA. Addressing the opening ceremony, HE Al Attiyah expressed thanks to japan for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to the Qatari delegation underlining meantime Qatar's due keenness that Qatar's culture and identity share with the people of Japan through such an event ,  Qatar Ferjaan Week in Tokyo . Qatar is completely convinced of the valuable aspects of such culture, heritage and arts for defining and maintaining the character and identity of the Qatari people, noting that such aspects are a significant part of Qatar national vision 2030, HE al Attiyah told the audience. Qatar is actively and strenuously acting to safeguard and secure its heritage and enhance its culture and arts out of its due commitment to care for the identities of its citizens, said  HE Chairman of Qatar's Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) and expressed hope that Japanese people would be able , via such ''Qatar Ferjaan Week in Toky'' festival to explore the get acquainted with the nature ,identity and diversity of the Qatari people, the matter which would further enhance and deepen bonds of understanding and shore up bridges of friendship that would be remain sustainable for the years to come. The five-day festival is taking place in Tokyo to celebrate the Gulf country's 40th anniversary of relations with Japan, noted HE Al Attiyah. HE Chairman of Qatar's Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) meantime hailed and Japanese culture which has already succeeded to reach all over the world. The opening ceremony was attended by Qatar's ambassador to Qatar HE Yusuf Bin Mohamed Bilal , members of the delegation accompanying HE the chairman of ACTA together with a number of senior officials of QMA.               It is worth to mention that Princess Takamado is the widow of The Prince Takamado (born 29 December 1954, died 21 November 2002), the third son of the Prince and the Princess Mikasa and a first cousin of Emperor Akihito.      The princess was born 10 July 1953, the daughter of Shigejiro Tottori. She married the prince on 6 December 1981. Originally known as Prince Norihito of Mikasa, he received the title Prince Takamado and permission to start a new branch of the imperial family on 1 December 1981. Princess Takamado has three daughters.
