Apple's Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook on Saturday paid a surprise visit to the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) first official Apple retail store that opened last October, local daily Gulf News reported.
At the store, which is at Dubai's Mall of the Emirates, Cook met with customers and employees and briefly discussed the latest trends around Apple's flagship products iPhone, iPad and iMacs.
The Apple CEO made the stop in the Gulf metropolis while returning from India where he met with India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday.
Last October, the UAE opened two official stores for the Cupertino, California-based technology giant, in Dubai's Mall of the Emirates and Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall.
