Manama - BNA

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa paid a visit today to Hamad Town and met current and former MPs, officials and dignitaries. He hailed the responsible popular stance displayed by citizens by rejecting conspiratorial calls and foiling plots to drag the nation into the cauldron of anarchy and sedition. He said with this marvellous stance, the Bahraini people were able to revive the historic stances which are carved in the national memory when all the people stood together to affirm Bahrain’s Arabian identity and independence. He praised the popular will’s ability to thwart attempts to undermine civic peace and security by instigating violence, sabotage and terrorism. He denounced attempts by some parties to promote foreign agendas under the pretext of reform by resorting to terrorism to achieve their despicable goals to divide the society while being heedless of Bahrain’s history and the nature of the Bahraini people who enjoy a honourable record of heroic stances in deterring conspiracies. HRH the Prime Minister reiterated rejection of any kind of foreign interference, stressing that all people in Bahrain have the right to a secure life. He vowed zero tolerance of anyone who tries to destabilise the nation, thanking all Bahrainis who refused to take part in the conspiratorial calls. He called on the people in Hamad Town to stand united against those who are trying to drive wedges among the Bahraini people and sow seeds of sedition and sectarianism. He added that the noble and wonderful stance of the Bahraini people proved to be stronger than the most powerful armies in foiling plots to plunge the nation into chaos and sabotage and sparing the nation bloodshed. “We have a common goal never to veer off which is preserving national security and stability,” he asserted, pledging to carry out the recommendations of the National Assembly decisively so that the terrorists and instigators got the punishment they deserve. He said that those who are inciting sabotage are seeking to hamper the development and economic projects and disrupt people’s life. “Yet, those attempts were doomed to failure thanks to the will of the Bahraini people,” he emphasised, stressing the government’s resolve to continue catering to citizens’ needs and carrying out projects to improve their living standard. HRH hailed the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques regarding the GCC Union as a means to boost joint work and achieve regional security and stability. “Regional circumstances require a union that cater to the needs of the GCC people and their aspiration for one GCC bloc,” he said.
