
Egypt's Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazi returned home on Thursday from Greece after attending the main stage of the Egyptian-Greek maritime exercises, codenamed Medusa 2015.
The several-day exercise is held in the framework of cooperation between the two countries.
Medusa 2015, held between the two countries for the first time, included search and rescue exercises with the participation of warships and Super Puma helicopters, air-defense and electronic war exercises, fire exercises, technical and interception exercises.
Hegazi and his Greek counterpart Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis - who attended the exercise lauded the skills of the forces of both sides, highlighting the importance of exchanging expertise to hone their forces' capabilities.
Hegazi's visit to Greece - which started on Wednesday - coincided with the current three-day visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Greece.
