The first edition of Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC-2017) will open on October 16.

The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) is organizing the three-day event under the patronage oh His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the Supreme Commander.
The BIDEC 2017, considered as one of the most important and largest in the Middle East, will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa welcomed the participants, hoping the first edition would be an outright success.

He described BIDEC 2017 as a BIDEC will provide an international stage and meeting point for VIP delegates, visitors and organisations alike to view ground-breaking technology and strategies.

“BIDEC is also a brand new opportunity for more than 100 international exhibitors to showcase the latest technology, equipment and hardware across land, sea and air”, he said.

BIDEC 2017 will showcase some unique off-site activities such as parachute demonstrations, warship display, shooting and military vehicles demonstrations.

Royal Guard Commander, High Committee Chairman Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa said that BIDEC 2017, one of the largest in the region, will showcase latest technology, equipment and hardware across land, sea and air.

“The organizing committee looks forward to coordinating military and diplomatic efforts to consolidate cooperation between Bahrain and the international community and support the BDF goals”, he said.

In a press conference held on October 19, 2016 at Four Seasons Hotel, he stressed the importance of BIDEC 2017 which will serve all countries engaged in combating terrorism.

BIDEC 2017 will contribute to attracting thousands of visitors and promoting Bahrain as a tourism and trade destinations.

The event is expected to attract more than 100 international exhibitors, industrialists and suppliers, in addition 50 official military and political delegations.

Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT) Board of Trustees’ Chairman Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa also stressed the importance of BIDEC 2017.
