Lower House speaker, Canadian ambassador discuss ties

Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Atef Tarawneh discussed with Canadian Ambassador to Jordan Peter MacDougall, means to develop political, trade and economic ties between the two countries as well as a number of issues of common interest.
Tarawneh briefed the ambassador on duties and tasks of the Lower House, its monitoring and legislative role as well as its election mechanism.
The ambassador praised bilateral ties between the two countries as well as the comprehensive reforms that have been achieved by Jordan.
