Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade has stressed the strength and depth of the cooperation ties between the UAE and Asian countries, especially with India. Addressing the Partnership 2012 Summit, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry and Government of Andhra Pradesh in Hyderabad City, she underscored the significance of increasing and diversifying the trade and investment cooperation ties among the South countries to further enhance the economic and political relations, as well as focusing on the sectors that constitute priorities for development. Sheikh Lubna noted that the UAE economy enjoys a number of ingredients for attracting foreign investments in the framework of its strategy for diversification of sources of income, and focus of the government on building promising sectors such as renewable energy, specialised and logistics services and technology sectors. The UAE minister participated in the inauguration of the exhibition held at the sideline of the summit. Some delegations had showcased partnership and investment opportunities. She also attended the UAE-Indian Gathering for Executive Directors at the sideline of the event.
