Prime Minister Hani al-Mulki, Monday, stressed the need to bring about positive change required in society’s culture towards employment opportunities provided by national economy in all sectors.
The government since its formation had adopted the slogan of self-employment rather than hiring, due to the inability of the public sector to generate more jobs except the technical professions sphere, al-Mulki said.
Al-Mulki made remarks as he visited Business Development Center (BDC), where he met with its CEO, Nayef Istatieh and members of board of directors in the presence of Labor Minister, Ali Ghazawi.
Al-Mulki called for rehabilitating and training job-seeking youth through coordination between the ministry of labor and the BDC, in order to give any graduate from the BDC the chance to start his self-employment venture.
