Sheikha Fatima lauded for female empowerment

Nora al-Suwaidi, chairwoman of UAE sports team, participating in the third GCC Women Sports Tournament in Bahrain, has lauded the great role of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed al-Nahyan on the empowerment of Emirati women to occupy positions in all sectors, reports WAM news agency. Al-Suwaidi congratulated Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Supreme Chairwoman for the Family Development Foundation and of the General Women's Union, on the occasion of International Women's Day. She noted that Sheikha Fatima is one of the pioneers of the women’s movement in the UAE, thanks to her continuous efforts that enabled Emirati women to achieve local and international success. She presented Sheikha Fatima with the five medals won so far by the UAE team in the tournament.
