UAE proud of mothers of martyrs: Mohammed bin Zayed

Sheikh Mohamed said that day by day, the Emirati women prove their competence and capability of shouldering responsibilities. He added that women became a key partner in the country's development drive and expressed his confidence on their ability to continue their successes.

"You are the daughters of Sheikh Zayed, who was very proud of you and who paved the way for you to excel and to achieve your ambitions. Your success is a proof of his wise vision for the future of the UAE women," he said.

Sheikh Mohamed underlined women's vital role in the UAE's journey for progress, through their ability to overcome difficulties, which prompted the leadership to support and empower them.

"In a very short span of time, the UAE women made great achievements, thanks to the support and encouragement of the wise leadership. We in the UAE, are all partners in building the nation under a common vision and outlook for the future."

The guests expressed their gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his directives to empower women, following the path of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

They also referred to the unlimited support given by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, to enhancing women's role in the development march.

Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC) presented, on behalf of the women of the UAE, a message of loyalty to Sheikh Mohamed.

The message expresses gratitude to the UAE's leadership and pays tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan for the support he gave to the women.

In the message, the UAE women also salute H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, whose vision laid the foundation for the progress and achievements of the UAE women.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Sheikhs and senior officials.
