US Chargé d'Affaires in Sudan Steven Koutsis said he was optimistic about the advance of ties between Washington and Khartoum in the coming period after announcing Donald Trump as the new US president.
The president-elect will choose a new administration after his inauguration on January 20, Koutsis told Sudanese newspaper “Al Ray Al Aam”.
Until then, the present Barrack Obama administration will remain in power, he said, noting that it was too early to predict what will happen but the goals will remain the same, which are restoring peace in Sudan and its neighbors.
